“Haidook Experience” is a program designed for those with extensive riding experience. We believe it is the most beautiful and complete riding program we offer in Potcoava but we leave you to decide whether it is right for you or not.

The “Haidook Experience” riding tour will be as riding once was hundreds of years ago. The trip we propose lasts between 3 and 6 days. The sleeping place will be at a sheepfold, in the middle of nature, and the food we will have available will be that of the shepherds. We promise an authentic tour that you will tell many years from here!

The ride will take place along the former border road – between Runcu and Bran – to Transylvania. Legend says that the “border road” or “the old road to Transylvania” is also known as “The Royal Road” or “The Lordly Road”. In those times there was no possibility of building roads through the valley so people were using the roads made on the ridges of the mountains. So in our Haidook Experience ride we will take the same road.

Legend also says that in this area would have passed “the outlaw” (haiduc) Radu Anghel: “haiduc” for some and thief for the others, Radu anghel remained in the legend mainly due to rumours of a hidden treasure he found in one of the caves in this area. We do not know if we will find the treasure but we will find a lot of stories with and about “haiduci” throughout the riding experience.

The most beautiful experience for those who come on such a tour is the wild life. Along the way we will be able to admire some wildlife around us: bears, deers, wild boars in their natural environment. And the mountain rooster is present in this area, so it depends if we are lucky enough to see it.
